Jessica Lynn Mathis (AKA Divinity Rose) is a multi-award and grant winning comedy performer plus author and screenwriter who blends these talents with her directing and producing for stage, screen and multi-media art.
She has a love for humor, the supernatural and the mysterious. She uses her experiences with 10 different childhood families and childhood trauma plus varied life experiences as a journalist and stand up comedian/character actress to weave tales that explore themes of identity, mental health, the supernatural, spirituality, psychology, survival, redemption, humor, and technology.
Her experience in the entertainment industry ranges from writing, producing and performing in over 400 live events as well as acting for screen with notables like Lisa Lampanelli, Nora Dunn, and Al Snow to producing her own writing for live shows, commercial projects and web series. Her writing experience also includes a background in journalism and acting as Editor-in-Chief of publications while additional film experience includes freelance crew on various projects like American Idol, Relative Justice, Dead Files and Investigation Discovery for individual clients and networks like ESPN, Discovery, and ABC.

Her writing, directing and producing have been awarded 11 Telly Awards, a communicator award, and 12 grants while her TV pilots and screenplays have been honored with awards like “Best Screenplay” at festivals and landed her in the top 25-50 out of 2500-10,000 entries in the finals of prestigious writing fellowships like Sundance Episodic Labs, Imagine Impact and semi-finals for the Disney/ABC Writer’s Fellowship. Her live stage plays or performances have been seen in venues across the United States, with her most recent stage play Romantics Vs. Rebels being selected and featured at Actor’s Theater of Louisville Story Revolution Festival. Weaving her technology interests into her art, she’s also enjoyed interactive storytelling via mobile apps and multimedia installations or events that blend reality with fiction.
She is the CEO of She Dreams Content Development and Production LLC, a company focused on the development and creation of diverse original female forward comedy and genre entertainment and media featuring themes of identity, overcoming trauma, and claiming personal power. In addition, she writes industry related articles for staffmeup.com and hosts regular table reads, pitch sessions and other events meant to develop the creative side of TV and Film in Kentucky with a heart focused on community strengthening and development.
